Bio de Talleen Hacikyan 's Bio

Talleen Hacikyan is a Montreal based printmaker, illustrator and art educator, with 30 years of professional experience. She received an Honors BA in Anthropology from McGill University and a BA in Fine Arts and Fine Arts Education from Université du Québec à Montréal.

She has exhibited extensively in Canada and internationally in over eighty solo and juried group shows.  In 2013 she had a major solo exhibition at The Armenian Museum of America, in Watertown, Massachusetts. Her work is included in many collections including Alcan, Banque nationale du Quebec and Domtar.

Awards include the 2015 Speedball Purchase Award, Loto-Quebec Printmaking prize, Pratt and Whitney Canada's Prix Pierre Henry, and the 2013 Gelette Burgess Award.  In 2012 she was awarded a residency at Atelier de l'Île in Val David, Quebec.

She has been a member of Atelier Circulaire printmaking studio since 1985.
