Big Launch day for the Montreal Printed Art Festival

Saturday April 30th 2016, 12 am to 8 pm
12h to 5 pm: Members’ Pop-up (5th floor hallway)
2 to 4 pm: Open House & Festival Launching event (#517)
5:30 to 8 pm: Artist talk & Opening reception (#105)

During the Montreal Printed Art Festival, Atelier Circulaire is pleased to invite you Saturday, April 30 at noon to a myriad of activities: members’ pop-up market, open house with workshop demonstrations, official launch of the Festival’s first edition, and an artist talk on the Gallery’s exhibition followed by its opening reception.

As part of this great launch event, Atelier Circulaire opens the doors of its studio (suite 517) and offers to the public free demonstrations by experienced artists of the different techniques available at the Studio: intaglio, lithography, screen printing, relief printing and digital printing. Come to attend at 2 pm, but first go for a walk in our ephemeral sale, the Members’ Pop-up, to be held from noon to 5 pm (hallway adjacent to the Studio, 5th floor) to get yourself some original printed artworks. At 4 pm, attend the launching event of the Festival to connect with stakeholders of the local printed art scene and then go down at the Gallery (suite 105) for the artist talk and the opening reception of the exhibition "La Creme de la releve". Printed arts lovers, it’s a must!

The Montreal Printed Art Festival (MTLPAF) is organised by Atelier Circulaire, Arprim Centre d'essai en art imprimé, Zocalo, ARCMTL, BAnQ Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie et la Maison de la culture de Villeray−Saint-Michel−Parc-Extension with the goal of promoting all forms of printed art. A rich program of activities including exhibitions, workshops, demonstrations, artist talks and conferences is offered to display the richness and diversity of the printed art scene.

Founded in 1982, Atelier Circulaire is an artist-run centre dedicated to the creation, research, production and promotion of printmaking. Atelier Circulaire supports the work of contemporary print-based artists by encouraging the use of traditional techniques and new technologies.
