EXHIBITION PROJECT

At the Atelier Circulaire Gallery

As part of its artistic programming the Atelier Circulaire gallery invites professional artists and curators from all over the world to submit an application for an exhibition project. The exhibition project must include the printed arts on a technical and/or conceptual level (traditional, new and mixed print technologies).

Deadline for submission: October 31, 2016

Interested candidates must submit an application that includes:

  • A physical description of the proposed exhibition, including the number of works, the space required and any unusual installation requirements. (Max. 1 page)
  • 10 to 15 JPEG images (Mac compatible files, RGB, around 1024 x 768 pixels)
  • Time-based documentation can be sent as a VimeoYoutube or Soundcloud link.
  • A work list indicating title, year, medium and dimensions
  • An artist CV
  • A short artist statement

with the subject: Exhibition Project

If your application is larger than 10 MB, please send it via an online file transfer service like DropboxWe Transfer or Hightail.

You will receive an email confirming the reception of your proposal.  If you do not receive an email within one week, please contact info@atelier-circulaire.qc.ca to confirm that your application has been received.

There will be a jury selection.  Selected artists will be contacted in February (following the submission deadline). 

Artists are paid in accordance with the CARFAC Fee Schedule.

The Atelier Circulaire gallery has a system of movable walls that allows artists to configure a layout that will suit their needs.  Please see the maximal and minimal plans below.  The installation of works on the movable walls must be done using the gallery’s hanging system (hanging wire system).


ARTIST RESIDENCIES

Atelier Circulaire invites professionally trained print artists from all over the world to submit an application for our residency program.

Professional Artist category
Deadline for submission : October 31, 2016

Atelier Circulaire occupies a bright 10.000 ft2 space and provides work spaces and specialized equipment for intaglio, lithography, relief, silkscreen and digital printing. 
The residency includes:

  • Access to the studio for one consecutive month
  • A $600 artist stipend 
  • A $100 stipend to buy supplies at the Atelier store
  • Technical help from a printer and/or professional coaching (25 hours)
