Film "Wu Wei" avec Wah Wing Chan

In the words of Lao Tzu, "Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished". Such is the concept at the heart of the Taoist principle of Wu Wei--the action of non-action. With this concept in mind as the guiding principle, the filmmakers respectfully--and without hurrying--follow Chinese-Canadian artist Wah Wing Chan in the creation of one of his renowned prints. Alone in the monumental concrete 'sanctuary' that is Montreal's Atelier Circulaire, the artist enters a state of intense concentration and creativity that seems effortless in its meditative beauty and flow. (co-directed and produced with Abraham Lifshitz).
